Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood vs. Fullmetal Alchemist

The Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood anime is closer to the manga than the first, Fullmetal Alchemist. There are characters who appeared only in the manga and the plot has a more grown up, sometimes even more violent feeling to it, compared to the first anime.
Roy Mustang becomes an avenger, taking a bit after Sasuke from Naruto, though he still cares more for his subordinates than for himself. He's also stronger, in my opinion, than in the first anime. The relationship between Edward and Winry is better defined and it has closure (you can look forward to it). Other characters are also more emphasized (like Hoenheim, for example).
Even if it's darker than Fullmetal Alchemist, this new anime is better at explaining the main characters' background story and the plot seems clearer, with less filler episodes. The soundtrack is also beautiful; my favorite is the first opening, Again, by Yui.
